Titles

This is an example of an template title which means, these titles already came with the programming system called premire pro. When using premire pro to create titles or any program a few tips to including when your using a software program to create titles never use the same colour as your colour font for example if your putting lettering on the sky you wouldn't use sky blue. This is a mistake I had made at first well not exactly with this example of course. You would use template titles when you want an opening scence, interviews to introduce the speaker,or even actors inner thoughts.

Lifting And Extracting

A simple cut in the timeline means you are making a cut in the timeline itself. When you cut, the other clips in the timeline will leave a gap between the two clips.

A ripple edit is when you have removed a clip without leaving a gap within your clips. You do this by right clicking the selected clip of your choice. When you ripple delete, the other clips to the right of the deleted clip you will connect to the clips (left).

Lifting and extracting are two ways to cut a clip at one time. To do this, you choose the in point and out point of the second screen of the program and select either the lift or extract function.

Lifting is like cutting, while extracting is like a ripple delete, in terms of what happens to the clips in the timeline such as the others you had chosen.

This is an example of an extracting edit. I decided to extract the two clips where I did because the removal of the clips left the other remaining clips with a more quick paste flowy feel which everthings appears more rapid than before.

~overlay~
This is an example of an overlay edit. An overlay edit places a clip of your original clip. In order to do this you have to drag the clip you want (to use an overlay) this will go on top of your original clip that you used. I decided to overlay the clip of the lady because I felt that this would be the best moment to overlay since the viewer can see as if you were to be looking off and coming back to this point.

~Insert~
At the end of the 2nd f4v:
The difference between an overlay and an insert edit places a clip in between the 2 clip s on your orginal clip. In order to do an insert you must hold down the CTRL key botton and drag the clip (on top) wherever you'd like. You would use an overlay you would want a more realistic feel when while you’d use an insert edit when more of a filmsy type of some sort.
